The room was comfortable and the price was reasonable.
Though Booked.net says the hotel is 6 km from Lyon, it's much further than that from central locations such as Gare Perrache or Gare Part Dieu. The person at reception was unable give me good directions on how to use public transportation to get from Gare Perrache to the hotel. Fyi, It's about 35 minutes by bus #70 from Gare Part Dieu, or 11 minutes by train from Gare Perrache. To get to the hotel, you'll need to walk another 15 minutes from the bus stop or the train station. There's no bus or train service after about 8pm. The only good restaurant we were able to find in town was the Bistrot, where the food was better than what we got in the hotel. Don't worry, Collonges Fontaine (the destination of trains and buses from Lyon) is pretty much the same place as Collonges au Mont D'or. There's a very large factory close to the hotel that occasionally emits a strong rotten egg smell.

I stayed there because it was close to my daughter's house in Collonges. Therefore it's location was its main appeal and it was reasonably priced.
